Synodality in Action: During the Holy Thursday liturgy, Bishop Michael Martin of Charlotte, North Carolina, delegated the foot-washing ritual to lay men and women. The Eucharist was at the Jesuits' church. Bishop Martin participated in the ritual himself, but he also allowed members of the laity to perform much of the optional Mandatum.
Brian Williams on Twitter: Meanwhile in Charlotte, Bishop Martin delegated the washing of feet on Holy Thursday to lay men and women. +Martin did participate to some degree, but at this Jesuit parish where he chose to celebrate Holy Thursday, the laity assumed the role of the clergy for much of the (optional) mandatum.
Disgraceful. Yet, his mockery of this holy practice will only drive alert and thoughtful Catholics away from the Conciliarist religion back to the authentic Catholic religion offered exclusively by the SSPX.

Hegseth Says U.S. Troops Are Fighting for Jesus. The Pope Disagrees. In sharp contrast to the Trump administration’s calls for Christian prayers for the war effort, Pope Leo XIV says military domination is “entirely foreign to the way of Jesus Christ.” nytimes.com/2026/04/03/world/middleeast/pope- … April 3, 2026 Pete Hegseth, the U.S. defense secretary, has asked the American people to pray “every day, on bended knee” for a military victory in the Middle East “in the name of Jesus Christ.” Pope Leo XIV, the first U.S.-born pontiff, has a starkly different take on what should be done in Jesus’s name. In a homily during a Mass on Thursday morning before Easter, the pope said that the Christian mission has often been “distorted by a desire for domination, entirely foreign to the way of Jesus Christ.” Since the United States and Israel began bombing Iran in late February, the pope has consistently called for an end to the violence and a return to dialogue to resolve the conflict. …Zambiri
"I know many bishops, and almost all of them — mostly from Western Europe — tell me that they also want to ordain married men," said Bishop Johan Bonny of Antwerp in an interview with Katholisch.de on 2 April. In March, he announced his intention to ordain married men as priests by 2028. "I have not yet heard a Catholic bishop tell me, 'Even if the Pope gives me the possibility, I will not ordain married men.' They know this in Rome as well." Bishop Bonny worked in the Vatican for eleven years and is familiar with the different interests at play: "In Rome, they understand the situation here, and I know bishops and cardinals who support this solution, at least in Western Europe." He believes that the ordination of married men as priests is "a great necessity". "The consensus is there." Until the 1960s, a diocese such as Antwerp's had almost 1,500 active priests, as well as several hundred more who were retired. Now, the diocese has fewer than 100 priests, half of whom come from abroad. …Zambiri
"By the word of His majesty He has set up all things, and by a word He can overturn them." Saint Clement "Let us fix our eyes on Christ's blood and understand how precious it is to His Father, for poured out for our salvation it has brought to the whole world the grace of repentance." Saint Clement [again] "In order that the mission entrusted to them might be continued after their death, [the apostles] ... designated such men and made the ruling that likewise on their death other men should take over their ministry." Saint Clement "Grant to them, Lord, health, peace, concord, and stability, so that they may exercise without offense the sovereignty that you have given them." Saint Clement
Why I never understood the Benedict resignation: "Our Apostles also knew, through our Lord Jesus Christ, that there would be contention over the bishop's office. So, for this cause, having received complete foreknowledge, they appointed the above mentioned men, and afterwards gave them a permanent character, so that, AS THEY DIED, other approved men should succeed to their ministry." Pray for his change of heart, that they will trip over their own deceit, that there be more rebellion among the ranks against this, or that they will loose quickly in God's Mercy. Something. Easter may be the time.
Catholic Italian author Vittorio Messori, 84, died on Good Friday in Desenzano, Italy. One of his most influential works was The Ratzinger Report, which was based on an interview with Joseph Ratzinger conducted in 1984. The book evaluated the Church's condition following the Second Vatican Council. Messori also collaborated with Pope John Paul II on the book Crossing the Threshold of Hope. In it, the Pope wrote that Jesus Christ is the unique Saviour of humanity and that Christianity contains the fullness of revealed truth. Throughout his career, Messori was renowned for his loyalty to the Church, coupled with his intellectual independence. #newsKlrgxiolhj

Easter – A - Second Reading - Colossians 3:1–4 – Seek what is above where Christ is. Letter to the Colossians 3,1-4. Brothers and sisters: If you were raised with Christ, seek what is above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Think of what is above, not of what is on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ your life appears, then you too will appear with him in glory. denicemay
Franciscan Father Francesco Patton wrote the meditations for tonight's Stations of the Cross at the Colosseum in Rome with Pope Leo XIV. Fr Patton served as Custos of the Holy Land from 2016 to 2025. On April 1, he told VaticanNews.va that the inspiration comes from "current reality" and that the meditations are meant to inspire political "change". The Vatican press office published the text today. Traditionally a penitential and contemplative devotion, the Via Crucis is repurposed here as a vehicle for contemporary socio-political reflection. The text shifts from the Passion of Christ to war, refugees, human trafficking, surveillance, deportation, the media, the economy, prisons, hostages, and crackdowns on protests. Notably absent, however, are abortion, euthanasia, and gender ideology. One acclamation reads: "For migrants, the displaced, and refugees: Comfort us, O Mother." In the first station, the meditation talks about political and economic power "to start or end a war… the power …Zambiri
Mark 16:15-16; He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved; whoever does not believe will be condemned.”
White privilege doesn't exist coming from a white privileged person! LOL! Oh and I guess the fact that slavery and white privilege, which are in the blood of the US, suddenly goes away with affirmative action.
In a certain way Trump is saving the Vatican from themselves. A nuclear armed apocalyptic terrorist state with missiles able to reach all of the capitols of Europe could very easily and logically have the Vatican as one of their first targets.

Easter – A - Gospel - John 20:1-9 - Christ, our paschal lamb, has been sacrificed Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint John 20,1-9. On the first day of the week, Mary of Magdala came to the tomb early in the morning, while it was still dark, and saw the stone removed from the tomb. So she ran and went to Simon Peter and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and told them, "They have taken the Lord from the tomb, and we don't know where they put him." So Peter and the other disciple went out and came to the tomb. They both ran, but the other disciple ran faster than Peter and arrived at the tomb first; he bent down and saw the burial cloths there, but did not go in. When Simon Peter arrived after him, he went into the tomb and saw the burial cloths there, and the cloth that had covered his head, not with the burial cloths but rolled up in a separate place. Then the other disciple also went in, the one who had arrived at the tomb first, and he saw and believed. For they did …Zambiri

John Kiriakou: "In all the years I was in the CIA, every time an Israeli Prime Minister came to the United States... they would say 'please bomb Iran.' And every President would say no... until this President."
Well, it's true. He's not the only one who has said any of those things. Just look at all the times that bibi has begged and pleaded, lied and threatened about Iran having a nuclear bomb. Yet it was confirmed by many, they didn't have any such thing. Not in the process. Not two weeks away. Not ready to use them. None of those lies were true. Yet he kept at it for decades. Even the democrats didn't fall for that trick. But it took trump and his administration to bomb them and obey their masters in Israel.
