🌈 Archbishop Paglia's Moral Revolution Conceals an 'Unconfessable Interest' - Monsignor Melina

Monsignor Livio Melina (pictured with Benedict XVI), former president (2006-2016) of the Pontifical John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family, has written on Archbishop Vincenzo Paglia’s role in the suppression of the original Institute.
Melina responded on LaNuovaBq.it (June 20) to a May 21 interview Paglia gave to Settimana News.
“Cover for an Unconfessable Interest”
Melina’s most striking accusation comes near the end of his essay: “Paglia’s actions were not moved by theological reasons, but by an ideological criticism of the Institute.”
He suggests that ideology serves to hide deeper motives: “Ideology, as Karl Marx taught us, functions as a cover for an unconfessable interest.”
Melina suggests that the suppression may have stemmed from a conviction that the Church's traditional teaching on marriage and family is "unreasonable" and "impracticable".
"No Facts, Only Interpretations" - Nietzsche
Melina accuses Paglia's paradigm of resting on the "principle of …ఇంకా

Leo XIV Appoints Synodal Bishop: "Open to Novelty and Change"

On June 20, Leo XIV has appointed Rev Elímar Gerardo Carvajal Durán, 50, as Bishop of Puntarenas, Costa Rica.
Born in Grecia in 1976 and ordained a priest in 2003, Monsignor Carvajal Durán has served in various pastoral roles within the Diocese of Alajuela and most recently as Diocesan Vicar for Pastoral Ministry.
He is a strongly synodal, CELAM-formed, Francis-era pastoral organizer. His public record shows extensive commitment to "discernment", "accompaniment", and "synodality".
Strong Synodal Profile
By September 2022, Rev. Carvajal had assumed a leading role in coordinating the Diocese of Alajuela's Diocesan Synodal Process.
In a September 28, 2022 talk on the Youtube channel of the Diocese of Alajuela, Monsignor Carvajal uses all of the Francis’ buzzwords such as "the synodal Church", "the reality is always before the idea", “listening to the cries of people”, etc.
His Language Speaks Volumes
In a September 5, 2023 video, Monsignor Carvajal said that discernment and synodality …ఇంకా

German Diocese Reduces to Just NINE Parishes

The Diocese of Speyer in southwestern Germany plans to reduce its current 70 parishes to just 9 large parish units. Bishop Karl-Heinz Wiesemann described the move as a “major turning point” that will require "courage" from all involved.
By October 31, the diocesan administration will present a plan for implementing the changes.
The new parishes will be led by a three-person team consisting of a pastor, a lay pastoral minister, and an administrative director.
Before a major reform in 2016, the diocese consisted of 346 parishes. These were merged into 70 larger parishes as part of the pastoral "reform" program.

Trump administration supports Catholic nuns fighting radical state transgender mandate - LifeSite

Sat Jun 20, 2026 - 10:11 am EDT
NEW YORK (
LifeSiteNews) — The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) has notified the U.S. District Court that it intends to intervene in a lawsuit filed by the Dominican Sisters of Hawthorne against the State of New York, challenging a State law that requires housing biological men with women in the Sisters’ residential hospice care program.
The DOJ announced in a press statement that it supports the Sisters of Hawthorne’s argument that the New York law violates the U.S. Constitution’s equal protection of religious groups.
The Dominican Sisters, who for over 125 years have provided nursing care to poor patients dying from cancer, had been forced to go to court to fight against the state’s transgender mandate requiring them to use “preferred” pronouns and assign rooms based on patients’ chosen “gender identity.”
The mandate, which stems from New York’s so-called “Bill of Rights for Long-Term Care Facility Residents who are LGBTQ or Living with HIV,” …

Numbers Show: Pope Francis Is Emptying the Church

For the second consecutive time, the Vatican refused to disclose the number of visitors it received during the preceding year.
Before it used to announce this in December.
Since Pope Francis' election, these numbers have been in constant decline.
Matthew Schmitz writes on Twitter (January 2) that Francis’ spin doctors tell us how "popular" Francis is and how the "Francis effect" is bringing people back to Church. But it is evident that the contrary is happening.
During Sunday's Epiphany Mass, Saint Peter's Basilica was nowhere full.

Why Young Men Are Seeking the Church – Allah's Willing Executioners

Sankt Ansgars Kirke in Copenhagen, Denmark, the principal church of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Copenhagen, which encompasses all of Denmark, including the Faroe Islands and Greenland.
Zairon,
CC BY-SA 3.0, via Wikimedia Commons
In the United Kingdom, a contested 2025 report—whose methodology has since been seriously questioned—claims a fourfold increase in 18-34-year-olds attending church at least once a month, with 20% of young men under 34 regularly attending compared to just 4% six years ago.
Yet, it is still hard to deny an interest in Christianity and a—very quiet—revival. At Easter 2026, 21,000 adults and young people were baptised in France, a 20% increase compared to 2025, which already saw a 32% rise in baptisms compared to the year before. For comparison, in 2021 there were around 4,100 adult baptisms.
Around 45% of young people in Spain (aged 15–29) identify as Catholic. This marks a dramatic shift in recent years, with Catholic identification among Spanish youth rising …

Friday, 20th June 1913 Frank Trial Will Not Be Long One
Friday, June 20, 1913
Few Witnesses of the Scores Examined Will Be Called When Case Is Heard.
That the trial of Leo M. Frank will take a much shorter time that is generally thought was indicated in a statement by Judge L. S. Roan. The judge said the greatest difficulty and almost as great a length of time would be consumed in drawing a jury as in the hearing of the case. He said the actual taking of evidence might not consume more than a day.
Judge Roan intimated that he expected neither side to introduce the scores of witnesses who had been examined and made affidavits, but that from these witnesses the State and the defense would select the most material evidence, or salient points, and then introduce the most reliable witness who could cover the ground.
For instance, eight or ten different persons might be able to testify on some different minor points, while there would be one witness who could testify to the same thing the …

Monsignor Brunero Gherardini: What Adherence is Due to the Second Vatican Council?

Following the debate reopened by the recent consecrations of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X and by the question of the adherence due to the Second Vatican Council, it seems opportune to recover this text by Monsignor Brunero Gherardini, originally published in 2011 by Disputationes Theologicae.
The great celebration of the fiftieth anniversary has begun. The beating of drums is not yet heard, but it can already be perceived in the atmosphere. The fiftieth anniversary of Vatican II will unleash all that is most superlative that can be imagined in terms of praise. Of the sobriety that had been requested, as an attitude and as an occasion for reflection and analysis for a more critical and profound evaluation of the conciliar event, not a trace remains. Already, without restraint, the same things that have been said and repeated for fifty years are being reiterated: Vatican II is the culminating point of Tradition and its very synthesis. International congresses on the greatest …

What Is The “Great Reset” And What Do The Globalists Actually Want?

What Is The “Great Reset” And What Do The Globalists Actually Want? - By Brandon Smith - 01/04/2022.
I first heard the phrase “Great Reset” way back in 2014. Christine Lagarde, who was head of the IMF at the time, was suddenly becoming very vocal about global centralization. It was an agenda that was generally only whispered about in the dark corners of institutional white papers and the secretive meetings of banking elites, but now these people were becoming rather loud about it.
Lagarde was doing a Q&A at the World Economic Forum and the notion of the “Reset” was very deliberately brought up; what the project entailed was vague, but the basic root of it was a dramatic shift away from the current economic, social and political models of the world into a globally centralized and integrated system – A “New World Order,” if you will…
It’s important to remember that we had just jumped through the fires of an international credit collapse which started in 2008 and had continued to …ఇంకా
