On 5 July, the animal rights organisation PETA staged a blasphemous demonstration in Pamplona. The protest featured a man portraying Jesus Christ wearing a crown of thorns, surrounded by activists in bikinis covered in red paint, to oppose bullfighting and urge the Catholic Church to condemn the practice.

On Camera: Cardinal Radcliffe's False Claims About Homosexual Eucharist

Cardinal Timothy Radcliffe spoke to AdVaticanum.com on July 4 about his participation in a London Eucharist at Holy Apostles Church including a liturgical blessing for a homosexual couple.
The interview is obvious gaslighting, not to say blatant lying, given that the livestream had been published on YouTube.
The event was held on June 13 to mark the 50-year homosexual partnership of Julian Filochowski and Martin Pendergast, two longstanding figures in "pastoral outreach" to homosexual Catholics. The principal celebrant was Fr. Jim O'Keefe, with concelebrants including Bishop John Crowley, emeritus of Middlesbrough, and Bishop John Rawsthorne, emeritus of Hallam.
"I gave no blessing to anyone"
Cardinal Radcliffe claimed: "I gave no blessing to anyone and had not been aware that any blessings would be given."
However, the picture above shows him making the sign of the cross during the blessing of the two homosexuals standing side by side like a married couple. The text was based on a …Caman

Protocol numbers are how Vatican departments organize their filing; a letter or submission is assigned a protocol number so that all the relevant documents are kept together in the right file. “Prot. No. 99/2009” is not a new file from 2026, but a file from 2009, specifically from Pope Benedict XVI’s lifting of the excommunications incurred in 1988.

What John Paul II Left Implicit Is Now Explicit: SSPX Is in Schism

COMMENTARY: Pope Leo XIV has chosen, with discretion, to end the failed outreach of Pope Benedict XVI to the SSPX. On July 2, 1988, Pope St. John Paul II wrote that the illicit ordination of bishops by the Society of St. Pius X (SSPX) constituted a schismatic act, not only for the six bishops involved then, but for all those who “formally adhere” to it. Thirty-eight years later to the day, the SSPX again having ordained bishops without a pontifical mandate, the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith (DDF) clarified what John Paul meant, by means of a decree and an explanatory note. What John Paul left implied is now explicit — all the priests of the SSPX are “in schism and subject to the penalty of excommunication.” That applies too to the lay faithful who “formally adhere” to the schism, for example, by supporting the illicit ordination of bishops, or by exclusively frequenting the SSPX chapels. The July 2 decree from the DDF — issued the day after the SSPX episcopal ordinations in …

Ave Crux

An act of disobedience (not schism) compelled by priestly and episcopal moral conscience and duty, and the spiritual needs of 700,000 faithful Catholics in their care, while begging for the assistance and collaboration of the Holy See -- which was refused to their sincere pleas -- does not constitute a failure to be subject to the Roman Pontiff, nor of schism. Even Father Gerald Murray, a well-known Canon Lawyer who opposed the Consecrations says as much. You will find his commentary elsewhere on Gloria.TV

Oslo Bishop Responds to FSSPX Consecrations: "I Will Expand the Roman Rite in the Diocese"

Bishop Fredrik Hansen of Oslo, Norway, issued a July 3 statement following the episcopal consecrations by the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (FSSPX).
He said the two consecrating bishops and the four newly consecrated bishops had removed themselves from ecclesial communion and unity with the Pope: “This is sad, painful, and calls us to prayer and penance.” He urged Catholics to pray the Rosary for the unity of the Church on the Feast of Saint Sunniva, July 8.
Monsignor Hansen repeated Cardinal Tucho Fernández’s explanation that the consecrations were a schismatic act and that the priests “can no longer validly grant absolution in the sacrament of confession.”
He also urged Catholics to refrain from attending FSSPX Masses and other activities.
Addressing FSSPX faithful directly, he wrote: “I understand that these are difficult and distressing days for you. You may find yourselves pulled in different directions, and perhaps stand bewildered before all that has now come to pass.”

Priest from excommunicated sect says future pope will reverse Vatican move
This whole excommunication things is appearing more and more to be one huge joke, I know no one taking this matter seriously.
Where is Pope St Pius X when you need him?

Luke Nutley

Did the 12 Apostles have to put up with this Vatican bureaucracy tit a tat? No. Why? Because Christ our Savior was their be all and end all. I doubt there are 4 priests today who could believe and declare Jesus Christ as their be all and end. They are too fretted with their standing and how they appear to others instead of Christ.
It is sickening.

This is how the Pope's vacation will be, according to him himself: "A little rest, a little prayer, a little reading, and hopefully a little sport"

Unam Sanctam – One God, One Faith, One Spiritual Authority

Bull of Pope Boniface VIII promulgated November 18, 1302
We are informed by the texts of the gospels that in this Church and in its power are two swords; namely, the spiritual and the temporal. For when the Apostles say: ‘Behold, here are two swords‘ [Lk 22:38] that is to say, in the Church, since the Apostles were speaking, the Lord did not reply that there were too many, but sufficient. Certainly the one who denies that the temporal sword is in the power of Peter has not listened well to the word of the Lord commanding: ‘Put up thy sword into thy scabbard‘ [Mt 26:52]. Therefore, both are in the power of the Church, namely, the spiritual sword and the material. But indeed, the latter is to be exercised on behalf of the Church; and truly, the former is to be exercised by the Church. The former is of the priest; the latter is by the hand of kings and soldiers, but at the will and sufferance of the priest.
However, one sword ought to be subordinated to the other and temporal authority,…Caman

Leo XIV's October Synod about Accompaniment of the Divorced

Today, the General Secretariat of the Synod issued the preparatory framework for the October 7–14 meeting on the implementation of Amoris Laetitia between Pope Leo XIV and the presidents of the bishops' conferences. The gathering marks the tenth anniversary of Amoris Laetitia.
The format is described as "synodal," involving a process of listening, prayer, and discernment. The aim is "to discern the direction in which the Holy Spirit is leading us today."
The five discussion themes are:
• Families today: reality, beauty and challenges
• Young people and the discovery of the vocation to marriage (including cohabiting couples)
• Married life: the first years of marriage—a decisive time
• In the difficulties of life: accompanying and supporting
• Christian families as subjects of the Church's mission
The fourth theme speaks of “failure” and the “gap between the ideal and reality.” It says those who “have experienced separation and divorce” should feel listened to, involved, and co-responsible …Caman

[EN/DE] 🚨 SHOCKING CLASH: Donald Trump CALLS POPE LEO XIV “AN INSULT TO JESUS” — THE POPE’S RESPONSE STUNS THE WORLD
Donald Trump believed he could score easy political points by calling Pope Leo XIV “an insult to Jesus,” after the spiritual leader once again spoke out in defense of peace, compassion, and human dignity. However, he was challenging a voice rooted not in politics, but in moral authority.

Standing before a solemn gathering at the Vatican, Pope Leo XIV did not respond with anger. Instead, he delivered a powerful and deeply moving message grounded in faith, responsibility, and truth.
“The President of the United States has said that I insult Jesus,” Pope Leo XIV began, his voice calm yet firm. “But let us reflect honestly — what truly insults the teachings of Christ?”
Then, with quiet intensity, he answered:
“You want to know what truly insults Jesus? It is when we turn away from those who suffer, when we close …Caman

German feminist Verena Brunschweiger promotes the slogan “My lineage ends with me.” She calls for people, especially White people, to stop having children. She claims that Western pro-natalists only want to “control women, and keep refugees out." Brunschweiger said that Europeans are to blame for the poor quality of life in Africa, and she would invite the entire world to Europe. "So I would take all immigrants and refugees in because we ruined the world, so to speak." "We produce the climate change which makes the life in Africa, for instance, miserable and horrible. So of course, why not invite [them] if they want to come?”

Benedict XVI's Secretary Abp. Georg Gänswein: "The hardliners prevailed in the SSPX. But Rome should display flexibility on the Latin Mass: Francis made a mistake on Traditionis Custodes, a wrong decision that must be corrected"

Gänswein: FSSPX "More Hardline Than Ever"; Leo XIV Should Ease Latin Mass Restrictions

On 2 July, Archbishop Georg Gänswein, the Nuncio to the Baltic States, spoke to Corriere.it about the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X and the Mass in the Roman rite. Key quotes, slightly shortened
- The FSSPX has become even more hardline. It's unbelievable - truly sad.
- Their understanding of tradition is not tradition. They freeze Catholic tradition at Pius XII. After that, they see nothing but errors.
- Benedict XVI lifted the excommunications of the four bishops as a father seeking peace. It was an outstretched hand they refused. The radical faction prevailed—they rejected reconciliation then and still do.
- They are like the Protestants of five centuries ago. Cardinal Müller is right.
- I am very disappointed. Grace can do anything over time, but for now I see even greater distance and deeper hardening than before.
"Leo XIV Should Allow the Traditional Roman Mass"
- There are faithful who celebrate the Latin rite—for example, the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter—and they do …Caman
