For Bishop Schneider, any acceptance of the Second Vatican Council as a whole is a compromises the integrity of the Faith :
“These are two key points that the FSSPX cannot accept, because they would compromise the integrity of the faith.”

Humanly speaking, Bishop Schneider doesn't see Leo XIV reversing Francis' course.
The celebration of the Pontifical Mass at the end of October in the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore - instead of St. Peter’s Basilica - can be described as a “consolation prize,” Bishop Athanasius Schneider told Gloria.tv (video below).
It is “sad,” he said, that these Catholics are not allowed to celebrate Mass in St. Peter’s.
At the same time, Santa Maria Maggiore is the most important Marian church in Christendom. Both Pius V - who codified the traditional Mass for all time - and Francis - who restricted it - are buried there.
Bishop Schneider intends to pray with the faithful for liturgical peace and for the traditional Mass to be celebrated again without restrictions.
Asked whether Leo XIV might reverse Francis’ course, Schneider replied: “Humanly speaking, I don’t think so. But there is still God.”
The pilgrimage will pray for Leo XIV, asking God to grant him many graces.
Schneider calls the suppression …Máis

Hope he's right: " Amid all their wanderings and vicissitudes of life, though dismembered and dispersed, like sheep without a shepherd, over the surface of the globe, the children of Israel have never forgotten or neglected the sacred duty of praying for their deceased brethren."

CARDINAL GIBBONS ON PURGATORY.
I have already spoken of the devotion of the ancient Jewish Church to the souls of the departed.
But perhaps you arc not aware that the Jews retain to this day, in their Litany, the pious practice of praying for the dead.
Yet such in reality is the case.
Amid all their wanderings and vicissitudes of life, though dismembered and dispersed,
like sheep without a shepherd, over the surface of the globe, the children of Israel have never forgotten or neglected the sacred duty of praying for their deceased brethren.
Unwilling to make this assertion without the strongest evidence, I procured from a Jewish convert an authorized Prayer-book of the Hebrew Church, from which I extract the …Máis

Why Iran Could Choose to Escalate the War
nytimes.com/…/03/opinion/trump-empowers-iranian-e…
Oct. 3, 2026
By Nicholas Kristof
Opinion Columnist
In early March, nine days after starting his war with Iran, President Trump held a news conference to crow about his “military success, the likes of which people haven’t seen.”
“We’re winning very decisively,” he claimed, and “the result will be lower oil prices.”
Peter Navarro, a White House senior counselor, wrote an essay in March explaining why: “Iran War Will Lower Energy Prices.” Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth in April announced “a historic and overwhelming victory” that had rendered Iran “combat-ineffective for years to come.”
Instead, Trump’s Iran war should be taught for decades as a model of how not to conduct either war or foreign policy. It’s an example of how hubris can swamp a presidency and lead it to military solutions for difficult global problems — and, in the process, make everything worse.
Now Trump finds himself stuck in …Máis

This essay is part of “The New World Disorder,” a series exploring the disintegration of the postwar international system and how countries are adjusting as America steps aside.
Each month, tens of thousands of tourists arriving from the United States descend over the green mountains of Costa Rica to touch down at Juan Santamaría International Airport outside San José. They shuffle through immigration and then past images of sloths hawking 5G SIM cards, toucans selling rum distilled with renewable energy and someone doing yoga at sunset. Argentine bishop, a Synod Father, punished after canonical judicial process over allegations of abuse.
Auxiliary Bishop Ricardo Seirutti, 70, of Córdoba, Argentina, has been punished by the Church following a canonical judicial process concerning complaints from two adults over conduct officially described as “improper to his episcopal ministry.”
Monsignor Seirutti also served as vicar general of the Archdiocese of Córdoba.
Pope Francis appointed him auxiliary bishop in 2015. In 2018, he participated as a voting Synod Father in the Synod of Bishops on Young People. He represented the Argentine episcopate.
According to the Archdiocese of Córdoba, complaints from two adults led the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith to order a canonical judicial process before the Interdiocesan Tribunal of Buenos Aires.
The proceedings concluded in recent weeks with sanctions against Bishop Seirutti.

Confirmed: Pope Leo XIV has appointed Cardinal Mauro Gambetti, 60, as Metropolitan Archbishop of Chieti-Vasto.
The move brings Gambetti’s tenure as Archpriest of St Peter’s Basilica, Vicar General for Vatican City and President of the Fabric of St Peter to an end. His successor at the Vatican has not yet been announced.
Cardinal Gambetti's years in the Vatican were marked by repeated controversies, many of which were brought to public attention primarily by SilereNonPossum.com. The investigation was based on documents, photographs, videos and testimony.
Among other issues, SilereNonPossum reported favouritism in personnel appointments - including the hiring of people personally connected to Gambetti. Other scandals included controversial expenditure, costly events and projects, and concerns over the maintenance and management of the Basilica.
Cardinal Gambetti succeeds Archbishop Bruno Forte, whose resignation Pope Leo XIV has accepted.
The transfer comes after months of rumours that …Máis

Leo XIV.
„falošným mierom a falošnou jednotou“, a citoval dvoch anonymných rímskych kňazov, ktorí varovali pred jednotou …Máis

St. Catherine of Siena and the Reverence Due to Priests
In this inspiring reflection, we explore the powerful messages God gave to Saint Catherine of Siena—a Doctor of the Church and one of the greatest mystics in Catholic history. Through her divine revelations, God reminded the faithful never to judge, criticize, or scorn His priests, no matter their human weaknesses. Saint Catherine’s writings in The Dialogue reveal a profound truth: the dignity of the priesthood comes not from the man himself, but from the sacred office he holds in Christ’s name. This video uncovers her heavenly conversations, where God speaks with tenderness yet firmness about the sacredness of His chosen servants, calling us to prayer, humility, and reverence for the priestly ministry. 🎥 Join us as we reflect on Saint Catherine’s timeless message—a call to pray for priests, to trust in God’s justice, and to love His Church with purity of heart.

The part of the faithful, God tells St. Catherine, is to weep over the sins of
clergy who do not follow God’s will, and to call upon His mercy for them.

Instaurare Omnia in Christo

At the same time, He laments the many sins of faithless clergy, including
promiscuity, lying with prostitutes, selling graces, usury, gluttony, avarice
toward the poor, vanity in seeking high offices, greed for worldly riches, and, as
He tells St. Catherine, many more sins far worse than what He describes. He
tells her how abominable these sins are in His sight, and how deeply these
ministers offend Him. Yet He makes it clear to St. Catherine that His people
must give reverence to His priests no matter how sinful the priests may be, and
leave the judgment to God

Advocate General Laila Medina at the European Court of Justice has issued an opinion in a Belgian case that could have wider implications across the EU for how churches handle requests to erase baptismal records under the GDPR.
She concluded that everyone has “in principle, the right to have his or her personal data erased from the baptismal register where the controller fails to demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override the interests, rights, and freedoms of the data subject.”

Annibale Bugnini
A more serious age sang the Dies Irae at Requiem Masses.
Apparently, Annibale Bugnini—I believe his first name is an Italian version of the ancient Punic (Carthaginian / Phoenician) name Hanniba'al, which means „Baal is Gracious” or „Favoured by Baal”— said he had eliminated the sequence from funerals and other Masses for the Dead, because it:
“smacked of a negative spirituality inherited from the Middle Ages.”
Dies irae - Wikipedia
Annibale or Hannibal wich means: “Baal is gracious” or “Favoured by Baal” / “The grace of Baal” — is a theophoric name (a name that contains the name of a god), which was very common in the ancient Phoenician and Carthaginian world.
The most „famous“ bearer of this name, I would say, untill Bugnini, was the great Carthaginian general Hannibal Barca (3rd century BC), who crossed the Alps with elephants to fight against Rome.

Theologian warns that the Vatican is rapidly following the German Synodal Path.
German theologian Hubert Windisch, a priest of the Diocese of Regensburg who dresses in civilian clothes, argues in a September article that the Church’s dramatic loss of substance has been driven above all by the “Bergoglian magisterium.” He describes several decisions as prone to heresy and even apostasy—from Abu Dhabi and Pachamama to Amoris laetitia and Fiducia supplicans.
In his view, doctrinal clarity has been replaced by endless “pastoral processes”.
He sees the German Synodal Path as an attempt to institutionalize this relativistic contradiction and warns that Rome, rather than resisting the German experiment, is rushing to follow the same course at the level of the universal Church.

The last letter from Fr Gruner April 30, 2015
Message from Fr. Gabriel Amorth to Fr. Nicholas Gruner
Father Gruner's Newsletter - March 12, 2015 (Feast of Saint Gregory the Great)
I recently returned from Rome, where I went to attend the February installation of the new cardinals. But while I was there something unexpected happened, something soul-shaking that I did not expect!
I spoke with Father Gabriel Amorth, the world's most famous living exorcist. His words shook me as few things ever have!
Father Amorth told me that we have but a Short-Time left before the chastisements predicted by Our Lady of Fatima begin to rip our world apart in ways we can hardly imagine!
How Long? Less Than 8 Months!
Father Gabriel Amorth told me that unless the consecration of Russia is performed as our Lady had asked that by the end of October 2015, the dark prophecies of Fatima may well come to pass any day after that!
Why did Father Gabriel Amorth tell this to me? So that Our Lady's Apostolate will raise …Máis

Then I say an extra Our Father separate from the first 3 we must say for The Consecration of Russia to The Immaculate Heart of Mary to be done and said as the Pope was ordered to do it.
I have confidence that GOD'S Will be done. And everything will be done according to His Will. For His Glory and for the good of the people.
I accept and I never worry that GOD'S Will and His Great Chastisement that the world has never seen before. Or what His Will be for me.
As long as in the end there shall be one fold and one shepherd.
The one thing I dream and think of a lot.

US Bishop attends smudging ceremony.
On July 11, the Diocese of Raleigh hosted its first multicultural celebration honoring St. Kateri Tekakwitha - the first North American Indigenous saint - at Holy Cross Church. The gathering included discussions, music, and indigenous dances.
Richard Duran, a member of the Pascua Yaqui Tribe from Arizona, led a smudging ceremony, which the diocese described as sharing cleansing smoke “as an act of prayer and spiritual connection.”
Bishop Luis Rafael Zarama was present and drew laughter when he said he would dance with his heart, not his body, because dancing to music can frustrate him.
Smudging has nothing to do with St. Kateri. She left her indigenous community and moved to the Christian Mohawk community at Kahnawake, where she could freely live her Catholic faith.

The bishop of Raleigh, North Carolina participated over a shamanistic “smudging” ceremony to celebrate St. Catherine “Kateri” Tekakwitha, who rejected her native Mohawk religion. Pascua Taqui tribe member Richard Duran led the congregation of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Durham in a “smudging” ceremony in July. Smudging is a shamanic ritual that involves burning herbs and resins to “cleanse” a space of negative energy.

Bishop Baldacchino’s response was to say we must “be merciful,” that they would “investigate and look into it,” and that “we’re all sinners here,” Martinez recalled.
