On Holy Thursday, Leo XIV washed and kissed the feet of 12 priests in the Lateran Basilica. In his homily, he remembered his predecessor: "As Pope Francis once remarked: 'This is a duty that comes from the heart. I love it. I love it and I love doing it, because that is what the Lord has taught me to do.' He was not speaking of an abstract imperative or a formal, empty command, but rather expressing his heartfelt obedience to the charity of Christ, the source and model of our own charity."

O Mary, be my Mother! The mother who gave me birth taught me to know your Son and you, but you teach me how I can love Him and you with the hottest love! Though I constantly repeat: I love Jesus, I love Mary, this word will not warm the heart unless your grace comes to my aid. As you looked with pity on your Son falling under the Cross, so look also on me, falling under the Cross. As you looked with mercy on those who placed the Cross on your Son, so look also on me, for I belong to their number! But I no longer want to belong to them! With your help, I want to work on myself, and as many tears of sorrow as I have wrung from you, so many tears of repentance I want to bring you as an offering! You did not turn away from me when I avoided you. You will not reject me when I return to you! I do not ask: free me from the Cross, but I beg you, free me from sin! O Mary, calm the sorrows of my soul, or rather, through sorrow, let me come to love. We ask this through the merits of your Son, who …थप

The Way of the Cross – Beautiful Meditations by Fr. K. Antoniewicz, 1923

STATION I
Jesus is condemned to death.
“He was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth.” (Isaiah 53:7)

V. We praise You, O Lord Jesus Christ, and we bless You.
R. Because by Your holy Cross, You have redeemed the world
.
The Lord of heaven and earth, our sweetest Savior, stands as the greatest criminal and offender before Pilate! He who will come to judge the whole world in glory and majesty has humbled Himself to be judged by one wicked man! O my dear Jesus, where is Your glory and majesty? A crown of thorns and a scepter of reed! And the people, gathered in crowds, shout and scream: “Crucify Him, crucify Him!” And the Savior does not open His mouth, He listens and… is silent! And Pilate pronounces the sentence of death—a cruel, painful, shameful death, the death of the Cross! And the Savior is silent, and without complaint or murmuring, He accepts this most unjust sentence, this most wicked verdict! O shame and …

Watch till the end. ( 8:42 seconds or less)l.
A Christian civilian. Killed by a foreign strike near his home. Buried by his Muslim neighbors. This is the Iran they don't show you. In a country the world calls divided by religion, Muslims carried their Christian brother to his final rest. Not because of politics. Not because of propaganda. Because that is who they are. We filmed his memorial service—the grief, the unity, the shared humanity. This video is not about war. It is about what survives war: faith, dignity, and the bonds that no bomb can break. Watch. On 1 April, Pope Leo XIV appointed Monsignor Daniel Meagher as Bishop of Rockhampton, Australia.
He had been an auxiliary bishop in Sydney since 2021, holding senior governance roles, including that of vicar general.
He enjoys working with the homeless and "being close to people on the margins".
Former lawyer – knows words and laws
Born in 1961 and trained in economics and civil law, he worked as a lawyer.
He then studied theology in Sydney and at the Gregorian University in Rome, before being ordained as a priest in 1995. Pope Francis appointed him a bishop in 2021.
Participating in and Praising Pagan Ritual
Monsignor Meagher took part on May 31, 2023 oin the launch of the so-called 'Reconciliation Action Plan' (RAP). This is a programme used in Australia to promote reconciliation with indigenous peoples.

‘OUR LORD'S SERMON ON THE MOUNT’ by Augustine of Hippo Saint and Doctor of the Church; Book I; Chapter V; points 13-15, pp. 8-10

[St. Augustine of Hippo – IV-V Century AD; Thagaste, Roman Empire/Hippo, Western Roman Empire; (aged 75) – Church Father – Doctor of the Church – Blessed; Resting Place – Pavia, Italy]
“Chapter V
13 ~ "Blessed are ye," says He, "when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely for my sake. Rejoice and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven."
Let any one who is seeking after the delights of this world and the riches of temporal things under the Christian name, consider that our blessedness, is within; as it is said of the soul of the Church by the mouth of the prophet, "All the beauty of the king's daughter is within;" for outwardly revilings, and persecutions, and disparagements are promised; and yet, from these things there is a great reward in heaven, which is felt in the heart of those who endure, those who can now say, "We glory in tribulations: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; and patience, experience; …थप

"15 ~ "Rejoice," says He, "and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven." I do not think that it is the higher parts of this visible world that are here called heaven. For our reward, which ought to be immoveable and eternal, is not to be placed in things fleeting and temporal. But I think the expression "in heaven" means in the spiritual firmament, where dwells everlasting righteousness: in comparison with which a Wicked soul is called earth, to which it is said when it sins," Earth thou art, and unto earth thou shalt return."

MY RESPONSE TO JEFFREY ADE’S COMMENT ALLEGING THE MINNEAPOLIS CHURCH SHOOTING WAS “FAKE”

“Looks like another fake shooting to me!”Jeffrey Ade
@Jeffrey Ade Would to God it were “fake” my dear brother Jeffrey, then those precious children who were slaughtered yesterday while sitting in the House of God at Mass would still be alive and with their families and those who loved and cherished them. But alas, it is very real….painfully, tragically, unspeakably real. Of that, there can be no doubt nor debate. The smothering darkness spawned from hell itself that was manifested there in Minneapolis cannot be denied nor written off flippantly as just some misbegotten conspiracy theory, as we have seen vile, lying, loud-mouthed self-aggrandizers such as Alex Jones shamelessly and falsely allege regarding other episodes of mass-murder of children. No, you mustn’t fall into that trap of diabolical deceit and delusion, and in so doing, offensively disparage the plight of the families and cheapen the lives lost and the blood that was shed by both the dead and the wounded. There can …थप

The sad part of this, is that those children will not receive prayers they need. All because of the conspiracy theorist who love to confound the mind and brainwash the people. The children and family are the ones to lose out. While the conspiracy theorists walk away laughing thinking we were duped and nothing happened to those children. The won't believe until GOD forbid it will happen to them. That's always the way it works.

Vatican Appoints Female Personnel Chief, Advancing Reform Initiated by Cardinal Marx

Pope Leo XIV has appointed Paola Fanelli on April 1 as Director of the Directorate for Personnel of the Holy See, a role within the Secretariat for the Economy. She takes over responsibility for personnel policy across Vatican dicasteries.
There is no public record of her expressing views on Catholic teaching.
She brings a background in organizational change and human resources. Her institutional background is rooted within BNL BNP Paribas (banking). Notably, she took part, as a BNL representative, in a closed-door think tank in 2018 organized by UNICEF Italy.
Fanelli's position has, because of its unique weight, a somewhat unusual history.
On March 6, 2020, the Holy See Press Office announced that such an office had been established, in a reform effort backed by Cardinal Reinhard Marx of Munich.
But the next day, the same office clarified that it remained merely a proposal under consideration.
The idea stalled at the time, amid internal resistance and broader reform turbulence.

What is more, as is said in the book On the Spirit and the Soul (of St. Augustine)
, to ascend to God means to enter into oneself. He who entering within and penetrating his inmost nature, goes beyond himself, he is truly ascending to God. So let us withdraw our hearts from the distractions of this world, and recall them to the inner joys, so that we can establish them to some degree in the light of divine contemplation. For this is the life and peace of our hearts - to be established by intent in the love of God and to be sweetly remade by his comforting. "It is therefore right and necessary for the mind to raise itself above itself and everything created by the abandonment of everything, with humble reverence and great trust, and to say within itself, He whom I seek, love, thirst for and desire from everything and more than anything is not a thing of the senses or the imagination, but is above everything that can be experienced by the senses and the intellect. He cannot be experienced by any of the senses, but is completely desirable to my will. He is moreover not discernable, but is perfectly desirable to my inner affections. He cannot be comprehended, but can be loved in his fullness with a pure heart, for he is above all lovable and desirable, and of infinite goodness and perfection."

A perfect meditation for Holy Week, especially when so many of us are tempted to comment on every crisis, every issue. For that was not Our Lady's approach:

The Virtue of Silence - Pax Orbis

The beautiful meditation is from Divine Intimacy1 explains some aspects of Our Lady’s role as Co-Redemptrix, particularly Her silence and humility, as well as Her deep love for souls.
These virtues provide a blueprint for those consecrated to Our Lady and are a poignant theme for contemplation during Holy Week.
The meditation also expresses a fundamental principle of apostolic work, particularly of pro-life work: the prioritising of prayer over activity.

O Mary, Queen of Apostles, obtain for me the heart of an Apostle.

1. Mary is, at the same time, the model of both contemplative and apostolic souls. Furthermore, by combining in herself the highest contemplative life with the highest apostolic life, she teaches us that contemplation and the apostolate, far from being opposed to other, complement, support, and maintain each other.
When the contemplative life – considered as an assiduous seeking after union with God-is really fervent, it cannot fail to enkindle …

Interview or Setup? Priest Says His Words Were Twisted

Rev. Jakob Rolland, chancellor of the Diocese of Reykjavík, Iceland, does not advocate changing “a person’s sexual attraction”. He told the Substack.com account The Pillar (March 31) that accusations he violated Iceland’s ban on “conversion therapy” stem from a “misunderstanding”.
Rev Rolland is a French priest who has lived in Iceland for more than 40 years.
The controversy arose from an interview with a lesbian journalist from the state broadcaster RÚV. The discussion initially focused on the Eucharist, including the need to be in a state of grace before receiving Communion.
The conversation shifted when the journalist asked whether people not living according to Church teaching could receive Communion. She offered her own example: a lesbian in a relationship, asking whether she could receive the Eucharist if she became Catholic.
Rev Rolland replied that she would need to reconsider her way of life.
When she said she did not want to change, he responded that this was her choice …थप

When the lesbian said, "she did not want to change, he responded that this was her choice - but that in such a condition, she could not become Catholic or receive Communion." Hey, if Amoris Laetitia allows for people in the mortal sin of adultery to receive Communion, why not people living as active lesbians? One marginalized group on the peripheries ought to be as good as another one.
