The UK government announced on May 11 that Tarandip “Tammy” Kaur Sandhu will become Britain’s next ambassador to the Holy See later this year. In 1987, a seminarian wrote an anonymous satire of modernism, "A Modern Seminarian’s Dictionary". The satire passed around until Fr. Paul Mankowski shared it with Cdl. Ratzinger, who laughed at the definition of someone who was “PRE VATICAN II”: “A person who accepts at face value the teaching of the Church and who reads the documents of the Second Vatican Council without reference to a commentary.” That seminarian was Fr.
